Visual Presence
Printed large, its woven blues and greens act almost like a window of cool foliage — the wall takes on the calm of shade and water. The all-over hatching keeps the surface alive up close, yet settles into one tranquil field from across the room. About the Art
Paul Cezanne returned to bathers in a landscape throughout his career, remaking the classical motif of nudes outdoors in a modern style — we chose this late canvas because it shows that reinvention mid-flight. Ground, water, trees and sky are rendered in patches of parallel hatching that seem to register the energy he felt while painting, the group framed in foliage. His central concern, the Art Institute of Chicago notes, was balance — the vigour of the bodies against the restfulness of the setting — with poses partly invented, partly drawn from his many other bather compositions. The canvas belongs to the museum's Amy McCormick Memorial Collection.

Stretched Canvas Construction
Each canvas is mounted on 4.2 cm (1.65 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.
For sizes exceeding 200x300 cm, we will split the canvas into two seamless panels to meet courier shipping limitations. The split is crafted to ensure the image remains continuous and flawless across both panels. You can choose to display the panels with or without a gap for different visual effects.
If you select the framed option, each panel will be framed separately to ensure secure shipping and easy handling.
Examples:
- A 240x300 cm artwork will be divided into two panels of 120x300 cm each.
- A 240x400 cm artwork will be split into two panels of 240x200 cm each.
This approach maintains the visual impact and flexibility of oversized pieces while accommodating shipping needs.
