Visual Presence
On a wall this print behaves like a tapestry — soft sage, olive and cream that settle the room rather than shout across it. The bold dark outlines keep the figures and pale mountain legible from the far side of a large living room or library. It brings a relaxed, hand-drawn ease to walls that would turn stiff with anything glossier.
About the Art
Paul Cézanne pursued bathers in a landscape for decades, and we chose this colour lithograph — known as The Bathers, Large Plate — because it stands among the most important printed statements of that lifelong obsession. Nude figures stand and recline in a grassy clearing while a craggy mountain rises behind them under swirling clouds, drawn with the bold outlines and muted greens and tans of his late manner. Few images compress so much of Cézanne into a single sheet. The Cleveland Museum of Art holds this impression, the second state of the print, which entered the collection as the gift of Mrs. Ralph King.

Stretched Canvas Construction
Each canvas is mounted on 4.2 cm (1.65 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.
For sizes exceeding 200x300 cm, we will split the canvas into two seamless panels to meet courier shipping limitations. The split is crafted to ensure the image remains continuous and flawless across both panels. You can choose to display the panels with or without a gap for different visual effects.
If you select the framed option, each panel will be framed separately to ensure secure shipping and easy handling.
Examples:
- A 240x300 cm artwork will be divided into two panels of 120x300 cm each.
- A 240x400 cm artwork will be split into two panels of 240x200 cm each.
This approach maintains the visual impact and flexibility of oversized pieces while accommodating shipping needs.
