Visual Presence
The powder-blue ground opens the wall like a patch of soft sky, keeping the room light and airy even at close to three metres tall. From across the space the great pink rosette and the touching orange and navy spheres read as calm, friendly landmarks rather than busy detail. It sets a gentle, optimistic mood — right for a lounge, bedroom or wellness wall that should feel serene, never stern.
About the Art
Hilma af Klint conceived The Ten Largest at roughly 328 by 240 centimetres — these images were made for walls, which is exactly why the suite belongs in this catalogue. No. 2 opens the Childhood stage of the cycle charting the ages of human life, part of The Paintings for the Temple, the vast visionary project she believed she was commissioned to create through her spiritualist practice with the group known as The Five. In tempera on paper mounted on canvas, it sets orbs and unfolding flower-forms against a soft blue ground. The series is cared for by the Hilma af Klint Foundation and shown at Moderna Museet in Stockholm.

Stretched Canvas Construction
Each canvas is mounted on 4.2 cm (1.65 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.
For sizes exceeding 200x300 cm, we will split the canvas into two seamless panels to meet courier shipping limitations. The split is crafted to ensure the image remains continuous and flawless across both panels. You can choose to display the panels with or without a gap for different visual effects.
If you select the framed option, each panel will be framed separately to ensure secure shipping and easy handling.
Examples:
- A 240x300 cm artwork will be divided into two panels of 120x300 cm each.
- A 240x400 cm artwork will be split into two panels of 240x200 cm each.
This approach maintains the visual impact and flexibility of oversized pieces while accommodating shipping needs.
