Visual Presence
On the wall this print opens the room onto deep tropical water: layered blues and turquoise carry real coolness, while the pink coral and white shirt lift it from across the room. About the Art
Winslow Homer found in the Bahamas the subject that stretched his watercolour furthest — the clarity and movement of tropical water — and The Water Fan is the demonstration piece we wanted: a young Bahamian man leans from his dinghy, searching for coral through a glass-bottomed bucket. Homer built the sea from fluid strokes of darker blue over layers of transparent turquoise; red washes once hinted at coral beneath the surface and have softened with time; the diagonal weave of the heavy twill-textured Whatman paper still marks the sheet. It belongs to the Art Institute of Chicago, a gift of the Holabird family.

Stretched Canvas Construction
Each canvas is mounted on 4.2 cm (1.65 in) deep stretcher bars made from Australian pine. The canvas is tightly stretched and wrapped around these solid wooden frames, giving it a strong, gallery-grade structure with noticeable depth — ideal for large or statement pieces.
This thickness adds durability and a clean, modern presentation, allowing the artwork to stand out beautifully without additional framing.
Edge Style
By default, all stretched canvases use a mirrored edge for a clean, continuous look. If you prefer a black or white edge, please mention it in your checkout notes; otherwise, the mirrored edge will be applied automatically.
For sizes exceeding 200x300 cm, we will split the canvas into two seamless panels to meet courier shipping limitations. The split is crafted to ensure the image remains continuous and flawless across both panels. You can choose to display the panels with or without a gap for different visual effects.
If you select the framed option, each panel will be framed separately to ensure secure shipping and easy handling.
Examples:
- A 240x300 cm artwork will be divided into two panels of 120x300 cm each.
- A 240x400 cm artwork will be split into two panels of 240x200 cm each.
This approach maintains the visual impact and flexibility of oversized pieces while accommodating shipping needs.
