Title: Golden Canopy by Summer Jiang
A golden translucent figure sits high in a tree above grey-blue water and red rock — seeing the whole river as a single living system for the first time.
Hand-signed limited edition of 49, supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Presence
A vertical mixed media work on linen canvas. A golden-orange translucent figure sits elevated in a tree beside grey-blue water, surrounded by red rock formations, green vegetation, and warm atmospheric light. The large-scale composition layers geological, arboreal, and aqueous elements into a single elevated view. Mineral pigments create the golden luminosity of the figure and the saturated earth tones around it. The vertical format reinforces the elevation — the viewer looks at the landscape from the perspective the figure has climbed to.Art Story
I climbed a tree and saw the river differently. From the ground it was just water. From the branches it was a whole system — currents, depth, direction. I painted that shift. The golden light is not sunset. It is the warmth of seeing something for the first time after years of looking at it. The canopy protects and reveals at the same time.Spatial Function
Golden Canopy functions as a Mirror in living rooms, reading spaces, and private studies. The vertical format and elevated viewpoint encourage the viewer to adopt the figure's perspective — to rise above the ground-level view of their own life. Warm colour and quiet figure invite reflective attention rather than demanding action. Recommended for spaces where quiet questioning, journaling, or deliberate reflection are welcomed.Summer Jiang
